How to Make Delicious Biscuits

Delicious Biscuits

  • All-purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Butter – 8 tablespoons (unsalted)
  • Milk – ⅔ cup
  • Baking powder – 3 teaspoons
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon (skip if using salted butter)
  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix  all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Mix in the Butter: Add cold unsalted butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry blender to incorporate until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add Milk and Knead: Pour in cold milk and mix until just combined. Knead the dough gently.
  4. Shape the Dough: Roll out to a thickness of ⅜ -inch. Use a 2½ -inch biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits.
  5. Bake: Preheat the oven to 410°F. Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.
