How to Make Classic Scones

Classic Scones

  • All-purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Powdered sugar – ½ cup
  • Raisins – ½ cup
  • Sour cream – ½ cup
  • Butter – 8 tablespoons, softened
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Baking powder – ½ tsp
  1. Preheat your oven to 395°F (200°C).
  2. Grind the butter with flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add powdered sugar, raisins, and sour cream to the mixture and mix well.
  4. Knead the dough for about 1 minute, then form it into a ball.
  5. Roll out the dough to a thickness of ¾ -inch.
  6. Cut the dough into eight pieces and space them at least one inch apart on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes.
